$core one for cable customer

An angry Knick fan is taking a desperation shot at bringing MSG back to Time Warner Cable.

Marc Zwerdling, 35, told The Post that he was able to cajole a $5.20 credit from the cable-TV giant after an exasperating online chat with a representative and his supervisor.

Now he wants his fellow New Yorkers to rise up the same way — and help pressure Time Warner executives to finally make a deal with MSG.

Zwerdling said he went to Time Warner Cable’s Web site and clicked the Chat Online option, beginning a lengthy back-and-forth with “Chad D.”

The rep offered him a free Sports Pass as compensation for not being able to see the Knicks play since MSG went off the air on New Year’s Day. The package of channels normally sells for $5.95 a month

But Zwerdling, a Manhattan resident who runs a sports-marketing firm, already has Sports Pass because he subscribes to TW’s HDxtra. “I am being double-charged,” he told Chad.

He demanded to speak to a supervisor, and after 59 separate comments, Chad finally agreed.

Zwerdling convinced the supervisor to issue a $2.60-a-month credit for January and February — and jubilantly declared victory on Twitter.

“Just received $5.20 from Time Warner Cable for no MSG Networks,” he tweeted. “Everyone do this, ask for supervisor.”

A Time Warner Cable spokeswoman insisted: “We have not offered a rebate connected to the MSG blackout. But, as a matter of policy, we do offer credits on a case-by- case basis, depending on specific activity and/or issues with any account.”
