Seal throws himself into work following split from Heidi Klum

SYDNEY — British singer Seal is enduring a rough stretch after his split from supermodel Heidi Klum, but is easing the pain by throwing himself into his role on the Australian version of “The Voice.”

“Obviously there are things that are happening in my life right now that are difficult to deal with, but everyone has been so respectful, so friendly and welcoming, and so non-judgmental,” he said.

Seal, 49, and Klum, 38, who have raised four children together, announced their split last month after seven years of marriage.

Most famous for his Grammy Award-winning song “Kiss From A Rose,” Seal will commute to his home in Los Angeles to spend time with his children.

“I’m really hoping they [my kids] can come here [Sydney] during their holidays at school,” he said.

“It is always a big thing to commit to something like this, but fortunately for me I will be going home a lot, every two weeks.

“My kids are the most important thing on the planet to me.”

“The Voice” will go to air in Australia later this year. Seal will appear as a coach alongside Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden and Australian singers Delta Goodrem and Keith Urban.

Seal will also tour Australia for his “Soul” album in April.
