An off-duty officer was arrested yesterday for allegedly groping a woman at a Fordham night club, police said.

Officer Melvin Thomas, 33, was partying when he grabbed the victim’s buttocks, cops said. He was charged with assault, forcible touching and sex abuse.

A man turned himself in for fatally stabbing his girlfriend yesterday in High Bridge, authorities said.

The 55-year-old victim, whose name was pending family notification, was found at 9:10 p.m. inside of the third-floor apartment on Anderson Avenue near West 167th Street, police said.

The suspect stabbed his 55-year-old lover in the neck and fled to Elizabeth, NJ, where he gave himself up, police said. Charges were pending against the suspect, cops said.

A man climbed a fire escape, crept in through a window of his ex-girlfriend’s Williamsbridge apartment and attacked her and her roommate with a kitchen knife, authorities said.

He fled from the building on East 222nd Street after plunging the blade into one woman’s neck and slashing the other’s hands and throat at about 9 a.m. yesterday, cops said. Both were in stable condition last night at a local hospital.

A serial shoplifter ignored his ban from Duane Reade long enough to get away with $300 worth of goods from one branch, then hit another — four times, authorities said.

Carlos Soto, 34, stole Conair irons and a battery from the branch at 1113 Third Ave. on Jan. 13, according to court papers.

He then went eight blocks over, to 949 Third Ave., and allegedly took 85 containers of detergent and 43 packages of toothpaste. His most recent haul there, on Feb. 19, was valued at $378, cops said.

Arrested last Wednesday, he was charged with four counts of burglary and four of petit larceny.

Brooklyn

A gang of teenage punks is wanted for questioning in two muggings, police said.

They crept up behind a 21-year-old woman on St. Edwards Street in Fort Greene at about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 19, punched her face and fled with her phone.

Two hours later, they spotted a 42-year-old woman carrying groceries near Willoughby Street and Flatbush Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn, hit her in the eye, snatched her bag of food and fled.

A hit-and-run driver clipped a 30-year-old woman in the leg yesterday in Brownsville, cops said.

The pedestrian, who had been crossing Saratoga Avenue at Chauncey Street at about 10:30 a.m., was treated at Interfaith Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Queens

A gunman knocked off a 7-Eleven in Corona yesterday yet left a good impression, witnesses said.

He entered the store, on Corona and 52nd avenues, just before 7:30 a.m. and politely announced the robbery, cops said.

Then, a witness said, “He told the girl behind the counter, ‘Please give me the money in the register’ — and then replied, ‘Thank you,’ when she did.”

Staten Island

Declaring, “I’m gonna take what’s mine!” an ex-con smashed his fist through a window in a vain attempt to break into a pal’s New Dorp Beach home, court papers state.

Craig Shea, 45, fled empty-handed from the Milbank Road residence at about 9 p.m. on Feb. 18, according to the papers.

Shea, who has done three burglary-related prison stints, fled but was busted Wednesday and charged with burglary and criminal mischief, a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan said.

A woman with crack stuffed in her bra was arrested with four other suspects when cops raided a West Brighton drug den, authorities said.

Narcotics detectives descending on the Castleton Avenue apartment at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday busted Tyrone Hodge, 32, Jamal Johnson, 17, Kenneth Thomas, 24, and Shaequan Wiley, 21. But it was Zaire Latty, 23, who most caught their eye — with the 25 baggies crowding her brassiere, court papers say.

Also found, on a living-room table, were a marijuana joint and 34 other baggies of crack, court records show.
