WASHINGTON — Arizona’s Sheriff Joe wants to “pull over” President Obama.
Facing a federal grand jury probe, charges of racial profiling and a Justice Department lawsuit, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is re-dredging up conspiracy theories about the president’s birth certificate.
“I’m not going after Obama; I’m just doing my job,” he insisted yesterday while stating his belief that the certificate is a forgery and Obama should be the subject of a criminal investigation.
Obama last year released a copy of his long-form birth certificate, which had been held by state authorities in Hawaii.
