You’ll have a gay ol’ time.
New York’s first “straight friendly” gay hotel opened in Hell’s Kitchen yesterday, welcoming the gay and lesbian set to an urban- style resort designed for their tastes.
For starters, there’s no need to explain your bunking arrangements.
“If a gay couple checks into a hotel, often they’ll ask if you’d like two separate beds,” said Ian Reisner, 42, co-owner of The Out NYC.
“We would never ask anyway — if they want two beds, they would volunteer that,” Reisner added.

Of the 105 rooms, only seven come with two separate queen beds.
There are no doors on the closets, only free- standing, European-style open shelves. And the room baskets offer condoms and lubricant.
The place was solidly booked the first night.
“Everything from the ground up had the gay consumer in mind,” Reisner said.
He described the design aesthetic as “very strong” and “crisp,” adding that straight guests with a sense of style will appreciate his digs.
The Euro-chic resort occupies more than half an acre, with each room facing a courtyard.
The Spa Atrium channels Fire Island, with wood decking, ivy and a waterfall that streams down the wall. There are two hot tubs, a sauna and cabanas.
“This is not a gay ghetto, just a place for people to come and have fun.” Reisner said.
“People have called to ask about the hotel. They have said, ‘I’m straight, is that cool?’ We’ve said: ‘Absolutely.’”
“Gay is so mainstream now,” he added.
Concierges are expected to know what’s hot in the gay world.
Three gay couples already have booked their weddings at the hotel March 6. Fran Drescher will be master-of-ceremonies at the nuptials, which will be filmed for her reality show, “Happily Divorced.”
For younger, less affluent guests who can’t swing the $200- to $300- per-night rate, the hotel offers a luxury, Euro-style hostel for $99 per night.
It also boasts a 14,000- square-foot meganightclub on the premises.
Called XL, it’s promoted by nightlife legend John Blair.
