Today

CARIBBEAN BLUE: Can’t leave town for a tropical getaway? Then head to the Children’s Museum of the Arts’ Caribbean-American Festival, where master Haitian drummer Gaston Jean-Baptiste (otherwise known as Bonga) will perform with his drum and dance troupe. Afterward, aspiring percussionists can take part in a drumming workshop or make a take-home art project. 1 to 5 p.m., $10 per person. 103 Charlton St., between Greenwich and Hudson streets; 212-274-0986, cmany.org

GREEN SCENE: Learn all about Greenland at Scandinavia House’s Greenland Children’s Day, including what it’s like to play music in igloos, traditional Greenlandic mask-making and the basics of travel by dog sled. 1 p.m., $7 per person. 58 Park Ave., at 38th Street; 212-779-3587, scandinaviahouse.org

‘BOOTS’ CAMP: Your kids might be surprised to find that the classic character of “Puss in Boots” doesn’t always sound like Antonio Banderas. Once they get past that shocker, they’ll love Puppetworks’ version of Charles Perrault’s 1697 fable. Today and tomorrow (and most weekends through April 7), 12:30 and 2:30 p.m., $8, $7 for kids under 12. 338 Sixth Ave., at Fourth Street, Park Slope; 718-965-3391, puppetworks.org

TOMORROW

ANIMAL ANTICS: If you’ve never made “Wild Animal Masks for Purim,” you won’t want to miss the Jewish Museum’s family-friendly celebration. After kids make masks, they’ll go on a “wild animal hunt” through the galleries. 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., $12 for adults, $10 for kids. Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street; 212-423-3337, thejewishmuseum.org

YEAR OF THE DRAGON: Circus animals aren’t limited to elephants and tigers anymore. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s latest Greatest Show on Earth adds dragons to the mix. Also new this year: kung fu warriors and an hour of preshow activities. 1 and 5 p.m., $20 to $150. The Prudential Center, Meadowlands Sports Complex, 50 State Route 120, East Rutherford, NJ; 800-745-3000, ringling.com
