Ex-‘Wife’ angry in LA

LOS ANGELES — Ex-“Desperate Housewives” star Nicollette Sheridan’s frustration and anger boiled over yesterday in court during cross-examination in her unlawful termination case against the show and producer Marc Cherry.

Sheridan was rattled time and again by defense attorney Adam Levin, who pounded away at her previous testimony on Thursday, when Sheridan re-enacted how Cherry allegedly gave her a “nice wallop to my head” on the set of the ABC show.

Sheridan, who played man-hungry Edie Britt on the series, was fired from “Housewives” in 2009.

Yesterday, she appeared flustered and confused when Levin asked her repeatedly why she described Cherry’s alleged assault in one document as being “slapped” — and in another as being “violently hit.”

“I don’t know why they’re different,” Sheridan said, explaining that her lawyers had filled out the documents.

While Sheridan testified that she immediately told at least six people about the alleged “wallop,” Levin said she was exaggerating, since she never contacted Human Resources or her union, the Screen Actors Guild.

Sheridan also admitted that she was frustrated with Cherry because he “didn’t give Edie the time and attention she deserved.”

While Sheridan claims that Cherry killed Edie off in retaliation for Sheridan talking about the alleged “wallop,” the defense showed a video clip of at least 43 characters on “Housewives” who’ve been killed off through the years.
