Michigan State University is offering a new online course: “Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse: Catastrophes & Human Behavior.”

The class is supposed to help students explore human responses to major disasters and emergency situations by discussing a “simulated” zombie attack.

Gee, good thing it’s just simulated.

A 32-year veteran police officer was fired from the Miami-Dade force after she was caught hauling two mattresses onto the roof of her patrol car while off duty.

The department was so mad at Officer Sandra Lyles that they canned her even though she was just days from retirement.

The Frederick County Courthouse in Maryland was evacuated after someone reported a suspicious package — that turned out to be a coconut.

The coconut was taken into custody after it was inspected by the bomb squad.

No telling why it was at the courthouse, but cops apparently can’t rule out the possibility terrorists are working on a killer pina colada.
