Brooklyn Hts. death plunge

A teenager plunged to his death from the rooftop of a luxury apartment building in Brooklyn last night, police said.

The 18-year-old youth was on the roof of the St. George Tower on Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights when he apparently jumped at around 7:30 p.m., police said.

The victim, whose name was withheld pending family notification, crashed onto the rooftop of a neighboring building at 60 Pineapple Street.

“I just heard an enormous blow, a bang!” said Ruth Bueno, who lives in the six-story building where the teen landed.

“I thought that someone had thrown a 700-pound table onto the roof or something.

“It’s just awful this happened.”
