What a rip-off!
Most adults believe that reality TV stars and athletes lead the pack of celebrities that make more money than they deserve, according to a new survey.
Pint-sized “Jersey Shore” starlet, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, ranked highest in the Fitness Magazine/Yahoo! Finance survey with 51 percent of people believing she is overpaid.
According to the survey, which appears in next month’s issue, 64 percent of people 18 to 34 said that Polizzi is overpaid. Only 41 percent of people 55 and over said that the television star earned more than she deserves.
Polizzi earned $100,000 per episode for the most recent season of “Jersey Shore” and is currently filming a spinoff series with co-star Jenni “Jwoww” Farley.
Polizzi ranks just higher than fellow reality TV star Kim Kardashian, who 45 percent of people believe is overpaid.
Kardashian, whose net worth is estimated to be $35 million, stars in E!’s “Kourtney and Kim” television series and is in the midst of finalizing a divorce from Nets star Kris Humphries. It was reported last week that Humphries is demanding $7 million from Kardashian to avoid a public divorce trial.
Athletes are not immune. Miami Heat star LeBron James finished third on the list with 24 percent believing the two-time NBA MVP is overpaid.
James’ annual salary is $16,022,500, which is the 16th highest in the league.
