Police probe tragic baby deaths in Brooklyn, Bronx

Two babies died in separate incidents today – a two-year-old Brooklyn boy and a two-month-old Bronx girl – and police are investigating both deaths, cops said.

Jacquil Degraffenreid was unconscious when his mother got home and found him in their Cypress Hills apartment at 4:30 a.m. Police are questioning the mother along with her boyfriend, who they believe was taking care of the two-year-old in the Shepherd Avenue brownstone before he died. The young boy was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital and no arrests have been made, cops said.

The parents of Angelise Correa called 911 to report their two-month old was unconscious inside their University Heights home at about 11:05 a.m. The baby girl – whose body showed no obvious signs of trauma – was pronounced dead at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause of death and police are investigating but have not made any arrests, cops said.
