A Staten Island man celebrating his engagement with family and friends was stabbed to death early this morning, police and relatives said.
Antonio Lacertosa, 27, rushed to help some of his brothers after an argument outside the Espana Restaurant and Lounge in Annadale turned violent, sources said.
A restaurant employee allegedly attacked Lacertosa with a kitchen knife in an alley behind the Annadale Road restaurant in the 2 a.m. melee.
Lacertosa was pronounced dead at Staten Island University South Hospital.
The group had gone to Espana, where cops this morning were investigating the still blood-soaked scene, for a round of drinks to cap off the night of celebrations.
