Vuitton has no case: Warner

Warner Bros. wants a judge to bag a trademark suit over the “fleeting appearance” of knockoff Louis Vuitton luggage in “The Hangover: Part II.”

In papers filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court, the studio says use of the counterfeit carry-on is “artistically relevant” to last year’s hit comedy sequel.

Warner says the scene “sets the stage for the relationship” between the “Teddy” character and “Alan’’ — who “shows more concern for his designer luggage than for Teddy’s comfort.”
