A-Rod bluffing about poker game: scammer

A convicted Ponzi schemer claims he saw Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez play in a high-stakes 2009 poker game at a Beverly Hills mansion, an attorney told the Celebuzz Web site.

Hollywood lawyer Ronald Richards said California con man Bradley Ruderman testified yesterday that A-Rod took part in the $50,000 buy-in game.

“I will confirm that Ruderman testified and confirmed for the first time under oath that Alex Rodriguez played in one of the games,” Richards told the site.

Ruderman was convicted of embezzling $25 million of his investment clients’ cash to pay gambling debts incurred at celeb-studded games played from 2006 to 2009.

His A-Rod claim comes seven months after baseball brass interviewed the slugger about his gambling habits and eventually declined to take action against him.

A-Rod’s reps have denied he ever participated in the game. Last night in Florida, the third baseman again dismissed the allegations.

“There’s nothing to address with this story,” Rodriguez told The Post yesterday.

Richards, who is trying to recoup money for Ruderman’s victims, told The Post that Rodriguez is not being asked to return any funds.
