Police are investigating the apparent drowning death of a 5-year-old girl in Brooklyn last night, sources said.
Cops found the child unconscious after receiving a 911 call at around 7 p.m.
She was pronounced dead soon after arrival at Brookdale Hospital, sources said.
The unidentified girl’s 25-year-old baby-sitter was taken in for questioning at the 81st Precinct station house, the sources said.
Police were working to determine if the death was due to an accident or a medical issue, or if criminality was involved.
