Turns out subway riders are a bunch of literary buffs.
The MTA has revived its “Poetry in Motion” campaign, which offered a dose of culture on subway posters for 16 years, after complaints from straphangers.
The first of eight annual poems — Dorothea Tanning’s “Graduation” — is already up in select cars and on 3 million randomly distributed MetroCards.
The MTA ended its original poetry campaign in 2008.
