Trayvon had ‘no bruises’ on his body

There were no bruises or other signs of struggle on Trayvon Martin’s body, a mortician said yesterday — despite his killer claiming he struggled with the unarmed black teen before shooting him.

Funeral director Richard Kurtz said Martin was buried with a gunshot wound to the chest — nothing else.

“We could see no physical signs like there had been a scuffle [or] there had been a fight,” Kurtz told CBS News. “The hands — I didn’t see any knuckles, bruises or what have you.”

Kurtz’s story directly contradicts George Zimmerman’s recounting of the night he encountered Martin in a gated community in Sanford, Fla., and gunned him down allegedly in self-defense — after he followed the 17-year-old despite police warnings to avoid a confrontation.

Meanwhile, the Rev. Al Sharpton said he would call for civil disobedience if Zimmerman remains free, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Sharpton, who has organized demonstrations protesting the Sanford Police Department’s handling of the case, says he will address the matter further at a march today outside department headquarters.

Sharpton and ally Jesse Jackson have been accused of exploiting Martin’s death. Former NAACP leader Rev. C.L. Bryant said Sharpton and Jackson were “acting as though they are buzzards circling the carcass of the young boy,” according to The Daily Caller, a news Web site.
