Bro of NBA star Sebastian Telfair busted with guns in B’klyn

The teenage brother of former NBA player Sebastian Telfair was nabbed with three loaded guns in Brooklyn –and then tried to bribe a cop into letting him go, police said today.

Sixteen-year-old Lincoln High School baseketball player Ethan Telfair, also a cousin of former NY Knick Stephon Marbury, was arrested in Coney Island along with Lincoln teammate Shaquile Davis, 15, after cops spotted two guns inside an open backpack that the pair had in a courtyard behind the O’Dwyer Gardens Houses on West 33rd Street near Surf Avenue about 9 p.m. Friday, police said.

Cops searched the bag and found a third gun inside. All three weapons were loaded, cops said. It’s not clear who owned the backpack, a police source said.

Ethan Telfair, who lives nearby at the nearby Surfside Gardens Houses, was taken back to the 60th Precinct, where he allegedly offfered a cop a cash bribe to let him go, a police source said.

The teen was charged with weapons posession and bribing a public official, said cops.

Davis was charged with weapons possession.

Ethan Telfair is a sophmore point gaurd at Lincoln high school in Coney Island. It’s the same school where his brother, Sebastian played before being drafted in the first round of the 2004 NBA drafts to the Minesotta Timberwolves.

His cousin, Marbury, who also grew up in Coney Island and was a standout at Lincoln played for the NY Knicks until 2009, when he was traded to the Boston Celtics.
