Kim Kardashian to take Kris Humphries last name

LOS ANGELES — Kim Kardashian plans to take fiance Kris Humphries’ last name after they marry this summer, TMZ reported Wednesday.

A source close to the reality TV star said Kardashian will “for sure” use her husband’s family name in the future.

But the entrepreneur’s own mother said Kardashian should hold on to her trademark title.

“I don’t think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries … She needs to be Kim Kardashian because she’s worked so hard to get where she is,” Kris Jenner told the PopEater blog.

Kardashian, 30, and Humphries, 26, became engaged in mid May with the New Jersey Nets player popping the question with a 20.5 carat diamond sparkler valued at $2 million.

The surprise engagement came after they dated just six months.

OK! magazine reported the timeline was rushed because Kardashian is pregnant — which prompted the avid tweeter to immediately write to fans, “I am not pregnant!”

“This is crazy! I am NOT pregnant! Magazines can be so tricky with their wording! The inside states that one day I want a baby! But I’m not pregnant!” Kardashian wrote on her blog, adding “Believe that if you hear it from me, it will be true. Otherwise, don’t always believe what you read, dolls.”

It will be the second marriage for Kardashian, who was wed to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004.

She was also romantically linked to R&B singer Ray J, who appeared with her in a leaked sex tape, and she had an on-off relationship with NFL star Reggie Bush that ended in 2009.
