ROME — Snooki’s driving cops nuts — and to the hospital!
“Jersey Shore” diva Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi put two Italian police officers in the emergency room last night after she crashed into their patrol car in Florence, officials said.
Snooki was driving a Fiat Multipla — with “Shore” castmate Deena Nicole Cortese in the front seat and production crew members in the back — when the accident happened during the evening rush hour, authorities said.
Cops questioned Snooki at length at Florence’s central po lice station. She could face charges later, cops said.
The cast touched down in the Renaissance city earlier this month to shoot the fourth season of their MTV show. Photographs from the scene, published in Italian newspapers, showed two police officers — a man and woman — being loaded into an ambulance and taken to the e.r., where they were treated for minor injuries.
Another embarrassing picture showed Snooki in the front seat, hiding her face as she was ques tioned by a Florence city traffic officer. The cop was examining her driv er’s license.
Police described the fender-bender as a “low- speed impact.”
Booze and drugs were not believed to be involved — although 23-year-old Snooki took a breath-alco hol test, according to show insiders.
Driving in Florence has been an ongoing problem for cast members, who had racked up more than $400 in traffic fines there even before last night’s crash.
