DETROIT — Hip hop singer Lauryn Hill is expecting her sixth child, MTV reported Monday.
The former “Fugees” member hinted earlier this year she was the “most fertile woman in America” and finally confirmed she was indeed pregnant at a weekend concert in Detroit.
“I’m going to be taking time off to give birth,” Hill, 36, told the crowd during her Saturday concert at Chene Park in the Motor City.
The “Everything Is Everything” singer already has five children, three boys and two girls, with boyfriend Rohan Marley. Their eldest child, Zion, inspired her hit single “To Zion” on her 1998 album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.”
According to a local Detroit radio station, Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley, is still legally married to his first wife Geraldine Khawly, with whom he has two children.
