Tone Loc domestic violence bust

BURBANK, Calif. — Tone Loc, the actor and rapper famed for late 1980s hits “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina,” was arrested following an alleged physical altercation with his child’s mother, it was reported today.

Tone Loc, real name Anthony Terrell Smith, was arrested without incident for felony domestic violence Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex in Burbank, Calif., gossip website TMZ reported.

The 45-year-old was booked into a local jail a few hours later, where he was being held on a $50,000 bond.

A four-time Grammy nominee, Loc’s acting credits include Hollywood hits “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” and “Heat,” along with a number of speech-only roles, which utilized his trademark deep-toned, gravelly voice.
