LI man sues ex-girlfriend for $11M after she takes his dog

A Long Island man has slapped his ex-girlfriend with a whopping $11 million lawsuit for the return of his furry best friend, Guapo.

Ilich Jorquera, of Carle Place, came home from a business trip in February to find his former gal pal of five years, Carla Pimentel gone — but even more heartbreaking, his Queens lawsuit says, was finding she had taken with her his white-bearded Schnauzer.

Although the 2-year-old puppy is registered in Pimentel’s name they both agreed that he would be the primary caregiver, his lawyer Hayley Greenberg said.

“I walked him, fed him and played with him every day,” Jorquera said about his four-legged friend.

Pimentel, 29, was in graduate school and working and Jorquera said he didn’t mind taking care of the monthly bills for Guapo. “I made sure to take him to the vet and the groomer every month,” he said.

The 36-year-old contractor claims the whopping monetary figure he is seeking, in addition to retrun of the pooch, is for emotional distress and damages.

“I was in love with him,” he said about the day they purchased the pup for $500. “When he looked at me, it felt like he would be with me forever.”

Jorquera’s attempts to see Guapo were denied and hasn’t heard from Pimentel since she left four months ago, his suit claims.

Pimental could not immediately be reached for comment.
