LB Posluszny may land with Giants

The Giants are seemingly always in the market for help at linebacker and often go the free agency route to find that help. Paul Posluszny is one of the more intriguing linebackers set to hit the open market once the lockout ends, and he has his sights set on a return to Buffalo.

Or else, a possible spot with the Giants, where he would be reunited with defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, who ran the Bills defense and served as interim head coach while Posluszny was there.

“I love Coach Fewell and the type of defense that he ran when we were in Buffalo, we had a good relationship together,” Posluszny said on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

“Actually I have an uncle that lives in the New York area and he just sent me a text the other day saying he’s read on the internet that the Giants are a possible spot for me. I mean, so yes, there’s a lot of interesting possibilities out there and the one thing about free agency, all players, I think, you want to know your true value. You want to know how other teams value you and what they think of you, so that’s the interesting part of it. But, I mean, the Giants, along with several other teams, there are some interesting opportunities out there, that’s for sure.”

Posluszny, the former Penn State star, wants to make it clear his first choice is to stay where he is.

“I said from the start, as soon as this past season ended, that I wanted to be a Buffalo Bill,” he said. “First, coming into the NFL, I thought it would be a great thing to spend your entire career with one team, so I would be excited about that. Whether the Bills, their interest in me, I’m not sure. You know, that’s something we’ll have to wait and find out during free agency.”
