Police arrest thug who allegedly killed nursing assistant

Cops have nabbed the cold-blooded thug who allegedly killed a nursing assistant in a case of mistaken identity.

Malik Wallace, 20, was allegedly aiming for the victim’s teenage son—who wasn’t the right target either –when he blasted Christina Coleman, 39, at 5:45 p.m. Saturday outside the Pomonok Houses, where she lives.

Coleman was inside her Volkswagon with her son Hassan Gil, 18 when Wallace opened fire and fatally struck her in the head. Gil was also hit but he survived.

Wallace may not have been acting alone when he preyed on them. Sources said the killer was gunning for Christina’s older son, Mark Coleman, 22, in retaliation for an attack at the housing project hours earlier that wounded two suspected drug dealers.

Police are still looking to question Mark Coleman, and also want to speak to Lerome Robinson. Wallace was charged with murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Wallace has prior arrests for robbery, assault and grand larceny.
