O’s ‘Class’ action

Oprah Winfrey hopes to save her struggling cable network by hosting her own nightly “teaching” show.

OWN Your Life: The Oprah Class” will recycle segments from over 4,000 hours of “Oprah” as instructional tools, Winfrey told TV writers yesterday.

“We had originally thought of putting the ‘Oprah Winfrey’ library on the air as encore performances,” Winfrey said. “[But] I wanted to embrace the idea of creating the world’s biggest classroom.”

The new series, premiering Oct. 11 (8 p.m.), will feature an online class and interactive coursework on oprah.com.
