It’s poetry and ‘pros’

A group that calls itself “Poetry Brothel” will recite verses to “johns” at this weekend’s New York Poetry Festival.

The “Brothel,” whose members refer to themselves as “poetry whores,” are among the groups featured today and tomorrow on Governors Island.

Local poets, dressed as courtesans, will offer private poetry recitations for a fee of $5. They’ll be stationed in a mansion fashioned as a 19th-century bordello.
