HAMPTON BAYS, N.Y. — A Long Island medical examiner will determine what caused the death of a man whose body was floating in Shinnecock Bay.
Southampton Town police said Wednesday it appeared 58-year-old Wayne A. Mordes of Hampton Bays had gone clamming before he was found.
A boater called police after making the discovery around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
