The Jets have not played their season opener with the Cowboys yet, but coach Rex Ryan is already thinking about the team’s Christmas Eve clash with the cross-town rival Giants.
Ryan wrote in his book the Jets were now the “big brother” to the Giants in New York.
When asked about that yesterday, he pointed to the matchup on Dec. 24 — a Jets home game at New Meadowlands Stadium.
“We’ll see Christmas Eve,” Ryan said. “That one’s going to be a special game, there’s no question about it.”
Using a soft, mocking voice, he then said: “‘Oh, it’s just going to be another game.’ No, it’s not. No, it’s not. We all know what that game stands for. That’s one you get your tickets early. That one’s going to be a beauty.”
