Air granny in Obama scare

The Air Force scrambled two F-16 fighter jets to intercept a plane flown by a 75-year-old woman who accidentally wandered into restricted airspace during President Obama’s visit to Chicago, officials said yesterday.

The military was called in Wednesday when controllers couldn’t contact the pilot — whose plane was not equipped with a radio — while the president was in the Windy City for a fund-raiser celebrating his 50th birthday.

Pilot Myrtle Rose did a U-turn and flew back to her home airport.
