Failed libertarian gov candidate sues Paladino, Davis

He won only one percent of the vote, but libertarian candidate for governor Warren Redlich still can’t let go of the 2010 gubernatorial race.

In a new, $20 million libel lawsuit, the fourth-place candidate accuses fellow losers Republican Carl Paladino (who came in second) and Kristin Davis (the convicted “madam” who came in last) of conspiring to send out an anonymously-authored campaign mailer that called him a “sick twisted pervert.”

Redlich is also suing political operative Roger Stone, who consulted for Davis’s campaign, Michael Caputo, who was Paladino’s campaign manager, and Andrew Miller, who worked for both Paladino and Davis in 2010 — all of whom he claims in the suit conspired to send out the mailer.

Distributed in October, 2010, the offending mailer purported to be a “Sexual Predator Alert,” and claimed Redlich “constitutes a public danger,” the lawsuit claims.

The suit seeks $10 million in compensatory and $20 punative damages and was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.
