He didn’t just get rough during sex.

Taylor Armstrong, the “Real Housewives” star whose allegedly kinky bisexual husband committed suicide Monday, claims he once beat her face so badly she needed surgery, reports say.

The alleged attack, which took place just before the second season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” started filming, left Taylor with cracked cheekbones, TMZ reports.

The gossip Web site also reports that there are photos showing the 40-year-old Taylor’s “horrific” injuries — so bad she didn’t want to show her face on the show’s upcoming season.

Late hubby Russell Armstrong’s lawyer said Taylor’s abuse claims lacked “credibility.”

“There has never been a documented report filed. That’s why all these posthumous reports are hard to believe,” Ronald Richards told The Post.

Insiders also claim her angry husband fired off a threatening e-mail to fellow “Housewives” cast member Camille Grammer after she urged Taylor to tell the show’s producers about his alleged roughhousing.

“It was the rantings of a lunatic,” a source familiar with the e-mail told TMZ.

The broke and distraught Armstrong, 47, hanged himself in a house on LA’s Mulholland Drive.

The couple’s marital problems were highlighted in the first season of the show, and their recent marriage-counseling sessions were supposed to be featured on the upcoming second season.

Bravo yesterday announced it would be re-editing the show in light of his death.

Armstrong told his mom shortly before his death that he feared the upcoming season would “crucify him.”

Insiders said Armstrong was nervous after hearing of a tell-all book that was going to expose the married millionaire as a secretly gay pauper who enjoyed slapping and bondage.

“People with skeletons in their closets should not go on reality shows, because sooner or later, it’s going to come out,” a Bravo insider told The Post.

Taylor filed for divorce in July.
