Bawdy body painter Andy Golub drew a huge crowd of slack-jawed onlookers in Times Square yesterday as he painted the body of a topless woman, but the masses quickly dispersed when cops made him cover her up with a sports bra.
Golub showed up a little before noon on Broadway near West 43rd Street and painted the body of 23-year-old topless model Marla Mera.
The performance drew a crowd of nearly 150, which prompted cops to ask Golub to do something before things got out of hand.
Golub had Mera put on a sports bra, and most of the mob dispersed.
“What I do is an extension of what I do in the studio,” Golub said. “Sharing it with the public is a great experience.”
On July 30, Golub was busted on public-lewdness charges in Times Square with two models who were stripped down to nothing but their birthday suits. This time, Golub avoided a bust by putting Mera in a g-string.
