A speeding motorist in a Lexus mowed down two women in a horrific hit-and-run on the Upper West Side late last night, officials said.
One of them appeared pregnant, witnesses said.
“He was driving like a lunatic, very fast,” said an onlooker.
The driver of the black luxury car was heading north on Broadway when he slammed into the women crossing at 70th Street at 11:45 p.m., sending one flying into the grassy traffic island.
The victims, one in critical condition and the other stable, were rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital.
The condition of the apparently pregnant woman was not immediately known.
The driver was still at large early today.
