Put your best face forward

Maybelline

Get yourself to Gansevoort Plaza (intersection of Gansevoort Street and Little W. 12th Street), where a party will be thrown to celebrate Great Lash mascara’s 40th birthday. Score gifts, including mini-makeovers, free tubes of Great Lash, and if you are one of the first 300, a T-shirt designed by Pat Field. Models Erin Wasson and Jessica White will also visit.

Saks Fifth Avenue

(611 Fifth Ave.) Model Elettra Wiedemann (Isabella Rossellini’s daughter) knows all about looking good — and will be passing on her wisdom at the store’s Lancome counter. Makeup artists will also be on hand for maquillage transformations.

Frederic Fekkai

Make an appointment at the flagship salon (712 Fifth Ave.; 212-753-9500) for between 4 and 7 p.m. for a Swarovski crystal manicure ($54), or the “Fekkai Night Out”: a blow-out, polish change and makeup application that’s worth $170 ($75).

Revlon

Famed makeup artist (and Revlon’s artistic director) Gucci Westman is the hostess with the mostess at this primping party at the Mondrian SoHo (9 Crosby St.). For $50 (tickets are available online at fashionsnightout.com) partygoers will get a makeover from one of Westman’s team, a manicure, and eats and drinks. For $200, Westman herself will apply your makeup. Everyone in attendance goes in the draw to win a seat at Rag & Bone’s Fashion Week show.

L’Occitane en Provence

The brand-new Meatpacking branch (48 Ninth Ave.) of this beauty chain is offering très généreux treats, including hand massages, glasses of sparkling rosé, and hors d’oeuvres to help refuel fatigued shoppers. It’ll be showing off new Immortelle day and night creams too, but best of all, it’ll be giving away a trip for two to be pampered at its spa in Provence, France.

Bloomingdale’s

Fashion designer Michelle Smith, creator of ’60s-esque label Milly, will appear at the Clinique counter (1000 Third Ave.) from 6 to 8 p.m. to hand out free fashion advice — and her Milly cosmetics bag filled with products — to those who spend $25. Clinique consultants will do makeovers, as well. The end result can be immortalized in a special photo booth brought in for the night.

Bergdorf Goodman

Oscar de la Renta is a serious fashion superstar, and he’s here at Bergdorf (745 Fifth Ave.) for just an hour (5:30 to 6.30 p.m.). So head straight to the beauty department, where he’ll be hanging out and autographing compacts from his new, limited-edition Face of Fashion range of makeup, created in collaboration with Le Métier de Beauté.

MAC

Super-hip performance artists Gill and Jill Bumby are bringing their booth and typewriter to MAC’s SoHo store (109 Spring St.) and will make appearance appraisals from 8 to 10 p.m. Indulge in one of the free makeup touch-ups on offer from in-house artists beforehand — to increase your chances of a positive review — as you enjoy a live performance from songstress Beth Ditto.

Estée Lauder

Get a makeup makeover at Saks Fifth Avenue from the mega-brand’s makeup director, Tom Pecheux (book in advance to be sure of a spot; 212-940-2155). And shop smart while you’re there: With any purchase, you’ll score a regular-size black mascara, gratis.

Sephora

Hit the Midtown store (597 Fifth Ave.) and ask renowned hairstylist Oscar Blandi, esthetician Kate Somerville (Jessica Alba and Debra Messing’s favorite facialist) and Vogue magazine’s Sarah Brown for personalized grooming tips, or have your photo taken by Davis Factor (great-grandson of the Max Factor). Hang around, and you’ll also catch glimpses of supermodel and creator of an eponymous cosmetic line Josie Maran and actress Kate Walsh. DJ Solange Knowles is slated to make an appearance too and will be providing music at the event.
