No, I’d like you to support me for president.

Presidential contender Rick Perry and former White House wannabe Donald Trump got together for dinner last night.

There was no official word on what they talked about, but they appeared to be having a very animated conversation in Trump’s limo as they drove from Trump Tower to Jean Georges restaurant in Columbus Circle.

The pair, who had spoken by phone but never met in person, apparently hit it off like gangbusters.

CBS News reported that their Trump Tower powwow came at Texas Gov. Perry’s request. “It’s obviously about the presidency,” Trump spokesman Michael Cohen told CBS. “Everyone wants Mr. Trump’s support.”

Trump, once a front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination, had kind words earlier in the day for Perry, who now leads the GOP pack.

“I think he’s a very impressive guy,” Trump told ABC.

“I think he’s very ready. He’s been governor of Texas for a long time. Texas has done very well . . . He’s a tough guy. He’s a smart guy.”

Perry is the third presidential candidate in recnet months to kiss Trump’s ring.

Trump met with Michele Bachmann earlier this year, and said he was very “impressed” with her.

He also had a now-infamous dinner with maybe candidate Sarah Palin in June at Famiglia Pizza. That’s where they shocked the New York culinary world by eating their slices forks and knives.

Trump hasn’t yet indicated whom he’ll support. In an interview last night with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren, he said there’s still a possibility he might run himself.

“This is the most important election this country has ever had,’’ he said. “Except for some of the biggies.’’
