Dogg going for laughs

Snoop Dogg is angling for a sitcom career.

The rapper has inked a deal with Warner Bros. TV to shop a sitcom in which he would play a father, according to deadline.com.

The untitled project wouldn’t be that much of a stretch for Snoop Dogg, who headlined an E! reality show, “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood,” which was built around his home life (featuring his wife and three kids).

Dogg, recently cast in the big-screen movie “The Legend of Fillmre Slim,” is working on the project with TV veteran Don Reo (Fox’s “Brothers,” on which Dogg appeared).

Reo has also been a consulting producer the last few years on the CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men.”
