Not part of the plan: Carjacker steals ride, ditches the toddler

Leave the baby — keep the car.

A Bronx thug pulled over half a block from where he’d just pulled off a carjacking this morning to unload a toddler.

After pulling the 2-year-old out of a child seat, he left the baby boy on the street, got back in the car he’d just stolen, and sped off, said cops.

The boy’s father — who was chasing the car on foot — quickly rescued the child.

The carjacker kept the baby’s car seat.

Police are still searching for the car, a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, and the carjacker.

The incident happened around 10 a.m. on Unionport Road in Parkchester.

The baby’s father, 44, had gone into a deli to grab some coffee, while the child’s mom was loading groceries into the back of the car. The couple had left the keys in the ignition.
