‘True Blood’ actress replaces Hilary Duff in ‘Bonnie and Clyde’

LOS ANGELES — Lindsay Pulsipher, one of the stars of HBO’s “True Blood,” has replaced Hilary Duff in the upcoming remake of the film classic “Bonnie and Clyde,” Us Weekly reported Tuesday.

Duff, who had long been attached to the remake, dropped out in August due to her pregnancy. She is expecting her first child with her NHL-player husband Mike Comrie, and received a $100,000 severance package.

Pulsipher, who plays the werepanther Crystal Norris on the HBO vampire drama, will take over the lead role of infamous bank robber Bonnie Elizabeth Parker.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Pulsipher as Bonnie Parker in ‘The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,'” producer Tonya S. Holly said in a statement. “Lindsay will undoubtedly bring many layers to this critical role.”

Actress Amanda Seyfried was approached to take over Duff’s role, but she declined, according to entertainment website TMZ.
