Voters’ Meek(s) response to ‘most corrupt’ pol

The Issue: A watchdog group’s decision to place Rep. Meeks on its list of “most corrupt” congressmen.

Add Rep. Gregory Meeks to the long list of corrupt politicians representing New York City (“Meeks a Top Graft Choice,” Sept. 21).

How can people in Queens have re-elected Meeks for a seventh term after he’s been under investigation by the House Ethics Committee, probed by the feds for criminal activities and acted as a go-between for dictator Hugo Chavez?

It’s the complete and utter idiocy of his constituency that allows Meeks to continue to rip off the public trust.

This is where Congress should step in and see to it that he’s out of a job.

The problem is that Congress is overrun with his ilk. Who’s going to reprimand him, Rep. Charles Rangel?

How many shady deals does it take to have guys like Meeks removed from office? In the end, nothing will happen to him, and 95 percent of the American public will be unaware that he even exists.

The morons in Meeks’ district will vote for him again and again, and he’ll continue his corrupt activities.

When officials commit criminal behavior or come under investigation, The Post should run the story on the front page and follow up every day until the investigation is completed.

Whatever happened to President Obama draining the Washington swamp of these types?
