Posh eateries look to score big at new-look MSG

The greatest upgrades from Madison Square Garden’s $1 billion renovation may not be the new seats, suites and sky bridges, but instead the complete overhaul in its kitchens.

The world’s most famous arena brought in some of the city’s most famous chefs to create “signature dishes” designed to make basketball, hockey, concerts and even the circus more of a foodie experience.

Prices haven’t been set for the four new dishes, which the Post sampled yesterday.

Restaurateur Drew Nieporent recalled asking MSG execs a couple of years ago “who’s doing the food, and why can’t it be any better?”

The man who brought the city Tribeca Grill and Nobu will bring the Garden Daily Burger, which will offer high-quality grilled beef on a Portuguese bun with house-made relishes.

Madison Square Park Chef Andrew Carmellini said the main challenge was to create something of high quality that was easy enough to eat while devoting more attention to the Knicks or Rangers.

He settled on sausage, because “you can hold it in your hand and hold a beer in your other hand at the same time,” he said.

Jeremy Marshall, of Aquagrill, will offer a lobster-shrimp roll.

Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten also said he wanted to take a stab on improving a venerable favorite with a chicken dog served with kimchi mustard and relish.
