New video shows Casey Anthony’s reaction to discovery of daughter’s remains

ORLANDO, Fla. — A new video released Friday shows Casey Anthony, who was acquitted in July of her daughter’s murder, moments after she learned the little girl’s remains had been found.

The December 2008 security video shows Anthony seated in a waiting area of the medical facility of a county jail. In the grainy, silent video, she leans forward with her head in her hands and begins rocking back and forth.

The video then shows Anthony with her attorney Jose Baez in a different room. Baez pulls a chair next to Anthony, leans forward and clasps his hands together as the two appear to speak intently.

Chief Judge Belvin Perry ordered the video unsealed Friday after agreeing with a Florida television station that the footage is a public record, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Anthony was cleared of murdering her daughter Caylee in July but found guilty of four counts of lying to law enforcement officials.

Caylee’s remains were discovered in a wooded area almost five months after she was reported missing.

Anthony has been hidden from public view since her release from jail, but must periodically report to the Florida Department of Corrections as part of her probation from a check fraud conviction unrelated to Caylee’s death.
