LONDON — Adele’s new music video for her soulful ballad “Someone Like You” had Twitter users buzzing Friday, quickly becoming a top trending item as fans relished in the latest release from the Grammy winner.
In her video, the British songstress strolls along the Seine in Paris while belting out the tale of a long lost love.
“Someone Like You” is one of the few ballads to become a chart favorite, having sold over one million downloads in the US, in addition to the more than one million units sold in the UK since it was released in January.
The single is off her second album “21,” which is the best selling album of 2011 so far, in both the US and the UK.
The 23-year-old scored multiple wins at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards for her “Rolling in the Deep” video and is expected to score a slew of prizes at the European VMAs in November.
