‘The Playboy Club” is the first show to get canned.
NBC canceled the much-hyped, low-performing drama after just three episodes. Since its Sept. 20 premiere, “Playboy” dropped from 5 million total viewers to 3.2 million.
Repeats of “Prime Suspect” will air in “Playboy’s” Monday at 10 p.m. time slot until Brian Williams’ newsmagazine show, “Rock Center,” takes over on Halloween.
“Rock Center” will feature Williams’ fellow NBC News anchors and correspondents including Meredith Vieira, Matt Lauer, Richard Engel, Ann Curry and Harry Smith.
