Man fatally shot at second B’klyn barber shop

A man was shot and killed in a Flatbush barbershop this afternoon, authorities said.

The man was shot in the head at about 3:50 p.m. in a barbershop near the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Cortelyou Road, said a Fire Department spokesman. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was not taken to a hospital.

The death is the second murder in a Brooklyn barbershop this week. Andrew Burke, 79, was fatally shot as he sat in front of Fest’s Barbershop on Marcus Garvey Boulevard on Wednesday after two gunmen accidentally hit him while firing at a man they were chasing. It is not yet known whether the man killed today was his shooter’s intended target, cops said.

The two shootings took place within four miles of one another.
