Starr report

The first week of Rosie O’Donnell’s “The Rosie Show” on OWN wasn’t much to write home about.

The show, which airs live at 7 p.m. from Chicago, averaged nearly 500,000 viewers in its Oct. 10 premiere on OWN — a figure which dropped to a paltry 207,000 viewers last Friday, Oct. 14.

Here are the total-viewers numbers for “The Rosie Show” on OWN for its first week (Oct. 10-14):

Monday: 497,000

Tuesday: 317,000

Wednesday: 254,000

Thursday: 330,000

Friday: 207,000

That averages out to only 321,000 viewers — which, I’m guessing, is not what the suits at OWN were banking on for a show that’s considered the network’s franchise series.

O’Donnell’s show is followed at 8 p.m. by “Oprah’s Lifeclass,” in which OWN co-owner Oprah Winfrey provides new perspective to memorable “Oprah” episodes.

That show, which premiered to 333,000 viewers on Oct. 10, is faring slightly better than its “Rosie Show” lead-in. Last week, “Oprah’s Lifeclass” averaged 309,000 viewers — not great, but certainly not the dropoff experienced by O’Donnell’s show.

There was much better ratings news for Disney Channel, which scored a hit with its “Make Your Mark” talent competition show, which aired last weekend. Last Friday’s “Dance Off” telecast snared 4.2 million viewers and an additional 4 million for Sunday’s repeat — which also the week’s top-rated show in kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14).

* * *

Acclaimed jazz musician Pete Rugolo — who co-wrote the memorable theme to the classic ’60s series “The Fugitive” — died Sunday in LA at the age of 95. Larry David used Rugolo’s “Fugitive” theme music last season on an episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (along with the “Fugitive’s” “one-armed man” concept).

And speaking of classic shows, ABC’s ’70s-era cop sitcom, “Barney Miller,” will be out next Tuesday, Oct. 25, in a five-disc, 25-DVD set which also includes Season One of the “Barney Miller” spinoff, “Fish,” starring Abe Vigoda.

“Barney Miller,” starring Hal Linden, Max Gail, Ron Glass, Gregory Sierra, Vigoda, Steve Landesberg and Ron Carey, aired from 1975-82 and won an Emmy as Best Comedy in its final season.

It was set in the 12th Precinct (“The old 1-2”) in Greenwich Village; bonus features include new interviews with Linden, Vigoda and Gail and the show’s original pilot.

Elsewhere on DVD, Season 4, Volume 1 of the ’60s series “Rawhide” (Clint Eastwood) is out Nov. 1 on DVD; Season 2, Part 1 of Nickelodeon’s ’90s hit, “The Wild Thornberrys,” is out on DVD Nov. 8.

Last, but not least:

* Spanish-language network TeleFutura premieres its new late-night talk show, “Noche De Perros” (“Guys Night Out”) Oct. 31 (11 p.m.) with hosts Carlos Calderon, Gabriel Varela and Daniel Carles. It’ll air weeknights.
