I know that Frank J. Fleming is trying to be funny and that “Why We Must Lose the Darn 1 Percent” is supposed to be satire (PostOpinion, Oct. 26).
But some people might not understand he’s kidding and take him seriously.

The 1 percent has not learned from the great capitalist Henry Ford.
He gave his employees raises without being asked to. When asked by his peers why, he said, “If I don’t, who will buy my cars?”
The 1 percent keeps its wealth to itself, yet complains about the lack of consumers in the United States.
They’re characteristically focused on their paychecks, rather than on the long-term source of their pay.
Perhaps they are too busy learning Mandarin.
