Off duty

In the city that offers everything from round-the-clock gyms to Pinkberry delivery, it’s no surprise that off-loading pet care is just a click or a phone call away. A host of NYC companies can practically take your pet ownership responsibilities off your plate. The Post looked into several of these services and calculated just how much time could be saved — and money spent — if each were used for an entire month.

Chauffeur to vet appointment

Why ditch your lunch plans when you can outsource taking Fido for his monthly vet visit? Pet Chauffeur (petchauffeur.com; 212-696-9744) employs a fleet of four vans and about 10 drivers to whisk your pet to all of his appointments, and work with vets whose staff will bring your pet inside (if they won’t, Pet Chauffeur drivers will chaperone your pet inside for an additional fee). They base their prices on the number of city blocks traveled — a 25-block ride costs $37.

Money spent: $74 for one round-trip, 25-block ride

Daily walk (two a day)

Log on to Swifto.com, input your ZIP code and you’ll have a dog walker dispatched to your place within the hour. Even cooler: You can track your pup on a live map during their walk to see how much mileage they cover, plus receive alerts when their one-on-one walk starts and ends.

Katie Thomas, who lives in Williamsburg, uses the service two-to-three times a week — whenever her unpredictable textile industry job prevents her from getting home to her Boston terrier Roxy. “So far they’ve always sent the same walker, so I feel super comfortable letting him into my apartment to pick her up while I’m out.”

Money spent: $1,200 (at $20 per half-hour, 60 times a month)

Exercise/playtime

When work deadlines loom or your DVR calls, clearing your schedule to exercise your dog just won’t do. Set up weekly runs to keep your pooch moving and your calendar clear. A trained athlete from Running Paws (212-818-0474; runningpaws.com) will pick up your pet and take them out for a customized, 30-to-60-minute jog.

Lee, a runner from Running Paws, picks up Jayne Baum’s Samoyd Jackson three times a week to help the active dog get his sweat on. “I love Lee’s passion for running, and for dogs,” Baum says. “Plus, what’s a better way for Jackson to see the city?”

Money spent: $120 (based on four $30, 45-minute sessions)

Money spent: $132 (for a four-week supply of beef food for a 5-year-old, 10 lb. dog)

Stock up on pet supplies, which can be cumbersome to haul home on the subway, at NYCPet.com, an online store that has everything from toys to treats to cleaning supplies. They’ll ensure same day delivery in Manhattan and Brooklyn, so long as you place your order before 6 p.m.

Money spent: $30 (for two $15 services)
