Anna Faris really grew into her role in “The Dictator.” The actress plays a nature-minded hipster in the movie, and in order to embody her character – and at the suggestion of the movie’s creators – she didn’t shave her armpits during filming.
The blonde thought things would be “light, cute and wispy,” she told Jay Leno Friday.
“Oh, it really wasn’t,” she said.
Instead, Anna’s armpit hair grew in long, coarse and black.
Gross? Sure.
Funny? Well, that depends.
“It was a great party trick. If I wanted to shock and gag people, I would show off my armpit hair.”
A clip from “The Dictator” showing Faris and star Sacha Baron Cohen was released Thursday. The video shows the pair inside a grocery store, and Cohen’s character cracking a feminist joke.
“I love it when women go to school,” he says. “It’s like seeing a monkey on roller skates. It means nothing to them but is so adorable for us.”
The movie – and Faris’s liberal grooming techniques – will appear in theaters next month.
