Eli Manning to host ‘SNL’

Eli Manning’s following in his brother’s footsteps again.

The Giants QB will host “Saturday Night Live” on May 5, with musical guest Rihanna.

It’s been an exciting 2012 for Manning, who won his second Super Bowl in February. He recently vacationed with his family in Florida.

Eli’s new gig was announced before a commercial break on tonight’s “Saturday Night Live” episode.

His brother, Peyton, hosted the show in 2007 — most famously appearing in a United Way ‘digital short’ which saw him hurling insults and footballs at a group of children, then teaching them how to commit crimes.

During that episode, Eli and the brothers’ parents appeared in the audience.
